Bob Quinn was a member of the Filmmakers Advisory Committee which assisted with creation of Our World Neighborhood Charter School in the shadows of the historical Kaufman-Astoria Film Studios in Long Island City, Queens, NY. The school received its charter 2001 and officially opened its doors to the children of New York City on September 30, 2002.
